Elephant Ornament

I converted the Elephant Bookmark designed by Geraldine Starbuck into a Christmas ornament for a gift for an avid University of Alabama Football fan. A fun pattern to tat. It made me think about a possible Noah's Ark tree with all the different animals tatted.

Happy tatting,

What a fun post! This is absolutely adorable! I
'kind of' remembered seeing Geraldine's bookmark (on Jane's "Guest Designer" page), with the adorable mouse attached (although I don't normally think about mice in that way); but I had forgotten about it.

Thanks for reminding us about this amazing and delightful pattern! You did such a great job tatting it, and making it a Christmas ornament. You may get a lot of orders for it!!!

I also had NO idea that the Crimson Tide has an elephant as its mascot! Had to look that up on the internet! Kind of unusual for a football team (although I 'get' the 'thundering herd' idea!), and apparently it's been around since the '30s, although became more popular starting in the '70s!
