Here is motif Challenge #9. It is egg #15 from the book. The butterfly is tatted in DMC Pastel variegated. The outer round in DMC Cebelia lavender, all size 20. The DMC pastel variegated is my favorite thread in those colors. Lizbeth has a thread that is very similiar in color way but is just not the same.
And now for the eggs...Today I took a wire wrapping class at our local bead store. Here is the bird's nest pin with freshwater pearls for the eggs that I made. It really turned out so cute. I will be making some more of these for gifts. It was really fun and easy.
I'm trying so hard to get at least a dozen eggs done before Easter. There are two dozen eggs in the book--not sure all of them will be made. I have got to get done with these so that I can go on to the tat a long project. I am enjoying watching the progress of all the participants. I also want to make Karey Solomons "Lady" bookmark from her new "Bouquet of Bookmarks" book. It is so different and interesting.
Happy tatting,
