Latest Snowflakes

Here are my latest snowflakes.  One is motif #6 from "Festive Tatting" by DMC.
The other two are the "Layered Tatted Snowflake" pattern from Nancy Tracy of Be-stitched.  I used DMC size 20 for the rings and added Sulky Holoshimmer metallic thread as a filament to the DMC  for the chains.  I will be making several of these to give away to family members with their Christmas presents.  Which color do you think looks the best the silver one or the colorful one? Or do you prefer the plain white thread?
Please let me know.

Happy tatting,

I love all three! However, if I were forced to make a choice, I'd go for... hmmm... tough decision!

They are all pretty! How helpful is that? I suppose, I would probably tat with the colourful thread... if that helps!

All are lovely but what are they being used for? A treat, a card insert, a gift tie? For a tree, any will work. For a card - gosh, that depends on the recipient's personality, and as a gift tie, I'd go for one of the metallic ones as it adds the perfect sparkle!

I like them all - but the colorful one is my favorite :) Love the shimmery addition.

Gotta agree with Diane and Fox, but if it were me, I'd make equal numbers of each. It would break up the monotony.

First of all, it's very generous of you to make snowflakes as gifts! They are a special keepsake and can be hung on the Christmas tree or in a window during the winter months.

I admit I am partial to the classic 'Festive Tatting' snowflake (by Marion T. Leyds), as I tatted it many years ago; however I did not tat the inner rings and filled the 'hole' with a real 'crystal' snowflake. I wasn't sure at that time how to use the second shuttle, so I congratulate you for doing the snowflake and the center rings perfectly!

Also, that snowflake would seem to take more time than the others, but the sparkly thread does make Nancy Tracy's pretty snowflake very festive!

Thanks for all the comments.
The snowflakes will be added to the bow on each gift.
So, I think I will give each person two snowflakes--a plain white and a colorful metallic.

I appreciate your help.

I like both of them also JB. So when in doubt just give both.
