Isabella Bell
This is Terry McGuffin's, (Terry the Tatter) "Isabella Bell" pattern from her book Thirteen Bell Patterns. I really enjoy the patterns in this book. I have made several of them. Terry is a very talented designer. Her patterns are well written and very easy to follow.

Foldover Bookmark
I really enjoyed tatting Jon Yusoff's Foldover Bookmark. I used Lizbeth's thread in Turquoise Twist and Vineyard Harvest respectively. This is a fast and easy pattern to make when you need a quick happy gift for someone. Thanks Jon for sharing your pattern. This has become one of my favorites.
Happy Tatting.
Tardis Bookmark
If you are an avid Doctor Who fan, then you know what the picture above is and what it represents. For those who are not familiar with the popular British sci-fi show, TARDIS stands for "Time And Relative Dimensions In Space" and is the police phone booth that The Doctor uses in his travels through time and space to save the universe from all sorts of monsters and disasters. Now, I am not an avid fan per se, but I do enjoy watching the show. My dear hubby on the other hand is absolutely bonkers for it, having seen every episode in existence (the series started in 1963 and is still produced today). So when I found this pattern on Ravelry, I knew I had to make it for him. I did and he loves it.
It's made from Flora #219 in size 20. It was simple to make, however, you need to know how to do split rings and one split chain.
Thank you Anne Bruvold for designing this cool pattern.

Six Shuttle class
In April, I attended the Atlanta Lace Guild's workshop. It was a wonderful three days filled with fun learning new techniques, seeing friends from previous workshops and meeting new ones.
Here is the first motif we made using six shuttles.
The second is of the bookmark I made using this technique.

Next, I want to make an edging for a linen doily soon.

Knitted Beaded Socks
"I did it! I did it! By George I think I did it!" to borrow some of the words of Rex Harrison in "My Fair Lady". I finally completed my first pair of knitted socks. They are beaded socks. I was really surprised at how relatively easy socks are to make. The toes and heels seem to be complicated, but are not at all. I have already started a pair for my
dear hubby.
With the left over yarn, I made this knitted rug coaster.

AIOLI Time Update
WOW!!!! Jane Armstrong is a great teacher. She taught us Lyn Morton's technique of tatting with 6 shuttles. It is extremely easy even though it looks difficult. I will post a picture once I return home. This has been a good workshop so far. The Atlanta Chapter of the IOLI does a great job organizing and hosting their workshop. This is their 11th annual workshop.
I am having so much fun, I just could not resist posting something.

AIOLI Time
I am so excited! Next weekend, I will be attending the Atlanta Lace Workshop in Atlanta, GA.
I will be taking a class from Jane Armstrong using six shuttles. That should be interesting. I hope the shuttles do not get tangled like the bobbins do when doing intarsia knitting. Those tangles nearly drove me crazy. Anyway, I will have to up date my blog with the experience and post some pictures.
Well, I missed posting for some major events--my blog's one year anniversary and celebrating my favorite holiday - Easter--celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus. I pray that each of you had a wonderful Easter.
I am thinking of what I can do to celebrate the 1st year anniversary of my blog--sounds like a giveaway brewing. Stay tuned for giveaway details.

Happy New Year
In looking back over the past 12 months, it's been a good year. I did not get to tat as much as I would have liked or do other hobbies that I had intended to do. I didn't lose the weight I wanted to or post to my blog as often as I wanted. That's okay! It's a New Year and a new opportunity to do those things.
I am thankful for my family and my friends (both online and offline). I wish each of you a blessed New Year. May you have good health and happiness.
